It's Not Easy, Yet There's A Way to Be Happy

Are you happy?

It starts with a simple question that needs time to answer. Well.. probably not for everyone, yet for me this one is kinda tricky. Just admit it ladies, being a working woman and for those who already be a mom, dealing with daily life is not as easy as we thought when we were younger.

Tight deadline, friend who doesn’t stop whining, clingy partner or your kids crying out loud for your attention, not also mention our mood swings, are definitely make us feel under a lot of pressure and…unhappy.
Worry not! Because although everyone has different definition about living a happy life, stressful free is surely a way for you to achieve serenity in your life. And hopefully it leads you to feel happier with your life and yourself. In helping you and myself finding little happiness in life, I suggest you to do these simple ways to eliminate negative feeling in your mind and heart, which at the end find us the door of happines...

Stop Over Think Things
Bad thing happens. And when it does, there’s nothing you can do about it.  So why you have to sweat over these negative thoughts that run on your mind every 5 sec. ? Here’s the thing, what you can do is just- focus on the present moment. Cherish what you have. Even small things like food  you have,  friends and family. Keep it in mind that… there’s always a rainbow after storm.

Burst into Laughter
Do you know that laughing can boost the endorphins level that can reduce your stress? It’s scientifically proven that people who laugh regularly over watching funny movies have biological changes. In a way that, the increase of endorphins caused by watching funny movie, drops the levels of stress hormones significantly. And I’ve proved this by myself. I remember when I got home after a long and unpleasant day at work that ruined my mood; I decided to watch my favorite sitcom that was so hilarious. I laughed a lot and amazingly my brain stopped making fuzz over my bad day. And when I finished watching the movie, I felt sooo much better. It feels like some weight was lifted from me. So, I guess that was the magic of laughter that helps me get rid the negative feelings I had.

Hit That Snooze Button
Let’s be honest. We always wake up feeling that we are sleep deprived. 7 hours (or less than that) seems can’t cover the lack of sleep we have over the past 5 years- or more. The thing is, sleeping habit changed as we’re getting older and it makes us have less and less time to have proper rest. And that’s what triggers mood swings. So, what you have to do is start taking daily nap (over the weekend for working girls) or try to get into bed at 8 p.m. Trust me, waking up after a good night sleep is the best gift you can get on the weekdays.

Finish One Thing At A Time
We all have experienced this, you’re trying to finish your work when your boss  suddenly came to you asking for report or other tasks that needed to be done ASAP. And as always, your initial reaction would be yes,sir/mam. Then after that we start to panic realizing there are plenty other things we have to finish that instant. Instead of crying for help, what you have to do is noted down what are the tasks you have and the deadlines. After that, try to make priority! finish the work one by one based on the list that you’ve made. That way, you’ll work better and feel more accomplished when you tick the work you’ve finished and say goodbye to overtime!

Let’s Get Lost
When you’re stuck in your daily routine, you tend to forget there are bigger things out there besides your workplace. So, let’s get out there! I’m not saying you have to jump on to the first flight and travel around the world, my suggestion is that you (by yourself) can go to places you haven’t seen before. Having a trip at least twice a year it’s a great way to recharge and rediscover your goals in life.

Spend time with VIPs of your life
Maintaining good relationship with people who mean a lot to you is not easy. Particularly because of your busy days taking care of this and that. In fact, studies shows that men and women get the benefit from good relationship. You can live healthier and longer when you feel being loved, supported and connected. So, let’s call those VIPs and ask them to meet for a coffee or just do things you guys like. It helps not only you but also those people you care about to feel good about themselves. And that what we called a win-win solution.

Count your blessings
It seems trivial yet in reality gives big impact to you. People who take time for a while and being thankful for what they have in life (freedom, health, friends & family, education, job, etc.) experience a complete well-being. It’s super important ladies because face it; we’re not going to spend our lifetime chasing pots of gold, right?
