There's a time when people ask you to describe yourself and you start to find the right words. You start mentioning what your interests are, what you do for a living, your personality strength that people said to you and stuff.. The thing is none of it accurate enough to really describe who you are, so I decided to take a personality test.

Things you should know about being a magazine journalist

What I wanna say is my job isn’t not always as glitz and glamorous as it seems.  Although yes, I admit we (journalists,editors,writers -whatever u wanna call it) can have an easy access to what-so-called happening events, most-wanted invitations and so on. Yet, that’s not the only thing we do.

The first 30days in 2011

Now we're stepping on the year 2011. Nothing is changed so much tho..without any Nu year resolutions, this year  is just the same-old-years to me.I'm not gonna list what i've been doing in the past 30 days,I just wanna share bout random things I've found/experienced during this month..Hope you enjoy it.

Why there's a word "Waiting"?

It sucks when you already prepared yourself for somethin big and it never come. That's what happened to me..
I've been waiting for the whole semester to finish my thesis and graduate from my campus. And when the day has come, they make it complicated by their silly system.
I'm completely ready for my thesis defense but I have to deal with some knick-knacks that I don't think necessary to think of right now.
I just wanna graduate as soon as possible, how's that really difficult to be understood? 

Black and White

If you take notice of my blog, you'll see that most of the times I put black and white pics as embellishment.
I'm a fan of blak and white pictures. There's something about it that pull me into this mysterious, lonely , yet intense beauty of the object.

Karl was right, life is always about black and white, the right and wrong, the yes or no. But somehow people manage to choose either of the options by staying in the shades between black and white.
It's okay to be in the grey area. I'm not telling this because I'm a person who most of the time choose to be in that spot, but because we have the option not to choose. And I think that's why most people decide to reside  in that particular place, the between. It's simply because they don't know which one to choose.

Damn! they look so good together

I am a girl who stops believing that there's a prince charming riding a unicorn out there who's gonna come and take me as her princess and we're gonna live happily ever after.. I've grown up and realize fairy tales don't exist, well.. at least in my life. But I do believe there are people who belong for each other and when we see them walking together, we'll say damn! they look so good together.

I've been pretty obsessed  paying in-depth attention to this couple, maybe you ever heard their names, alex turner and alexa chung (if you don't know who they are, see the pic.) How should i picture them?mmm..PERFECT! just by knowing their names you'll instantly think they are great together..I mean seriously, alex and alexa? how can you top that? besides their distinct similarity in their names, they have the greatest job ever.. the guy is the vocalist in a band called Arctic monkeys and the girl is a world known model/ fashionista. Another great thing about them...hold your breathe peep. they both British!! how cool is that, imagine they are sharing their love with this cute british accent..

Okay.. You'll probably think i'm a total weirdo tad strange but i can assure you nothing wrong in liking this couple. Like i've said before, i don't believe there will be a perfect prince charming coming to rescue me from this dull sad romantic life of mine, but this couple kinda shake my proposition of fairy tale. They've shown me that it might exists in modern days. And as I call it "modern romance"

Before alex and alexa come up as my number one list in my "favourite couples of all time" (don't think i'm weird of having this list..'coz i believe everyone has it too..I guess) I had Johnny depp& Kate moss, Kate moss&Pete doherty (minus the coccaine addiction and stuff, they totally awesome couple) Agyness Deyn&Albert hammond Jr., Sofia copolla&Thomas Mars and the list will still keep goin. The names i've mentioned there are people who I think have the Cool-O-Meter above the average of most human beings. Sadly, most of them had broken up except  for Ms. Copolla and Mr.Mars...yet, but the reminiscence of them live somewhat very strong in my head and every time I think of how cool these couples can be, I'll definitely say damn! they look soooo good together...with deep sigh.

Beauty and choices

I've been noticing girls or young adults around my age trying to compete against each other to have the most fairest skin. It's funny thing for me since indonesian have this tan kinda beige skin tone and we certainly don't  have the "white"  skin color like the caucasian.
Why do these young women want to have light complexion? simply because the idea of beauty they have in their minds, girls with fair skin = pretty, girl with other skin color = ugly less pretty.
Now, how do they have that kind of idea? I don't wanna blame 100% to the media, but if i have to point out my finger then i'll say media have taken part in making up such mess in girls brain.Not only girls actually, but also boys.. Yup, believe it or not they are affected by this too.
Media often potray beautiful woman as the one who is feminine has slim figure, long silky smooth hair, wearing prettydresses, and fair skin for sure. That at least what i've been seeing in the billboards around this city especially those beauty ads. they are selling this "magical" cream that can make your skin looks brighter, fairer and also smoother in 3 weeks.. c'mon people..  don't be stupid   are you really buying that?
One day I watched this talkshow about health and beauty stuff and the guest that day was a dermatologist, she said that it's impossible to have  light skin only in 3 weeks and people should curious if some products offered that and concern with the chemicals inside the products. Because it might gave bad side effects to your skin.
I'm writing this not to judge or criticize those who are trying so hard   to change your appearance. I'm not going to tell them to embrace their own beauty and stuff..well, sometimes i also have issue with the way I look , and the idea of you can have better version of you seems really nice, but I'm too lazy to try new things so I guess i'm gonna stuck with the present version of me for a long time ; ), well life is about choices right? you can choose whatever you like as long as it doesn't harm you. So I guess I'd say choose whatever suit you the best and just enjoy whatever the result can be. cheers.
